What is the difference between electricity for businesses and private customers?
Power to businesses has other deal types and often higher consumption. At Noova, companies get to choose between spot price, fixed price or hedging, tailored to their needs. You also get access to detailed analyses of your consumption to help you save money.
How much does electricity cost at Noova?
The electricity price consists of three parts: the electricity itself, grid rent and fees. At Noova we offer competitive mark-ups on spot prices, typically between 4 and 8 öre/kWh depending on consumption and agreement. Your total electricity budget depends on consumption and what price range you are in.
What is spot price and should we choose it?
Spot pricing means you pay the market price hour by hour, plus our mark-up. You get the real market price without any additional risk implications. With 20 years of experience in the power market, we help companies understand when spot price is best suited. Historically, spot pricing has been cheapest over time, and that suits businesses that can withstand some variation in their electricity bill.
When should we choose a fixed price for electricity?
Fixed price is suitable if you need completely predictable costs for your budget. With a fixed price, you pay the same price per kWh for the entire contract period, regardless of what happens in the market. At Noova, we help you assess whether a fixed price is the right choice based on your situation — we don't sell products you don't need.
How do we switch electricity providers?
Switching to Noova takes 2-3 weeks and is very easy. You only need the meter number (find it on an old invoice). We handle the whole process, including termination of old agreement. The power will never be disconnected when you switch. Our customer service team in Stavanger will follow you every step of the way.
